Flying Safari to Murchison and Semliki National Parks 5 Days

Day 1

Meet Abeam Safaris representative  who will transfer  you to Kajjansi Airstrip to catch your charter flight to Pakuba.At Pakuba transfer you to the lodge. On your way to Murchison Falls,fly over the falls where the park derives its name. At the top of the falls will see the mighty river exploding through a narrow gorge and flows down a distance of about 150 km. Have lunch, embark an afternoon boat ride on the Nile to the bottom of the falls graced harbours  that is plenteous in fauna and avifauna which you should expect on the boat cruise.They include Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, waterbucks, and many more. Bird life at the shoes is astounding not excluding the rare shoe bill. Dinner and Overnight at luxurious Paraa Safari Lodge/budget Red chili camp (FB)

Day 2

An  early morning game drive on the northern circuit of the park to catch up with early risers. Look out for game like Lions Uganda Kob, waterbucks, Leopard and many more. Retire for breakfast at the lodge and then carry packed lunch to proceed to Kaniyo Pabidi Forest the un disturbed area of natural forest within Budongo forest for chimpanzees tracking.Watch out for birds like the white-thigh hornbill,the chocolates-backed Kingfisher, and puvel’s illadopsis that are specific to this area and no where else in East Africa . Day 3

Have breakfast transfer to Pakuba Airstrip to catch your private charter plane to Semliki Wild Life Reserve which is situated in the basin of the Western rift Valley.Semliki Wildlife Reserve is one of the most diverse habitats in Africa with wonderful examples of gallery rain forest, Riparian forest, borassus palm forest, and short and high grass savannas.Transfer to the lodge for a rest as you prepare for the game drive at Night.This is the only park in Uganda where night drives are permitted. Have dinner and go for the drive to watch out for big cats, mangoose, serval cats, standard and pennant winged nightjars. This drive will offer you with lots of surprises. Dinner and overnight at a luxurious Semliki Safari Lodge/budget Rwenzori view guest house (Full Board)

Day 4

Have a cup of tea before dawn to go through the beautiful gallery rainforest to track chimpanzees. Chimps are tracked by researchers in Semliki at dawn and dusk, as they tend to disappear in the middle of the day. Watch out for a number of bird species in this forest. Return to the lodge for late breakfast lunch and rest to embark on an evening game drive. Look out for African Sun dip below the horizon. Day 5

Have breakfast to transfer to Semliki airstrip to catch your flight back to Entebbe .
