7 Days Birding Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi National Parks .

Day 1

Drive southwest to head to Queen Elizabeth National park, stop at the equator for photographs enroute.Have lunch ,proceed for an afternoon  birding in the crater region / Mweya peninsula. In these regions expect to see birds like croaking Cisticola, Marsh Tchagra, harriers such as Pallid and montagu’s and many others. Watch out for game like antelopes, Colubus monkeys, Kobs enroute. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge.

Day 2

Take breakfast, drive towards Lake Kikorongo/ the Kasenyi track for more birding in the park. In the Kikorongo area, look out for birds like Herons, Common Squacco, sacred and Glossy Ibises.The Kasenyi track passes through grass plains which support large numbers of stork in seasons as well as raptors such as brown snaked eagle. retire from the game drive for lunch at the lodge and the later in the afternoon go for a boat trip on the Kazinga channel to Lake Edward. The cruise will reward you with birds such as Mongolian plovers, Eurasian Honey Bizzard, African morning dove, Common Teal and Winged Plover, and many more. The ride also offers you an opportunity to see game like hippos, buffaloes, and many more. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 3

Drive through the Ishasha sector towards Buhoma-Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Look out birds and game enroute, arrivein the afternoon,go for evening birding in the camp area (Buhoma). Overnight at Gorilla forest camp/ Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 4

Early morning breakfast,move into the forest on the water fall trail for birding, where you shoul expect birds like slender billed starling, white bellied Robin-chat, Kivu ground thrush and many more. In the afternoon bird along the main track as you descend to the camp. Overnight at Gorilla forest Camp/ Buhoma community Banda.

Day 5

Bird along the short trail to Mubwindi swamp for birds like; the Turacos, Montane Oriole, African Green broad bill, and many more. Overnight at Institute of tropical forest conservation (ITFC)

Day 6

Bird along the long trail to Mubwindi swamp and the afternoon along Ruhija. Overnight at Institute of tropical forest conservation (ITFC).

Day 7

Have breakfast to drive to Kampala . You will have a stop for lunch at any place of your wish then proceed to Kampala Overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Serena Hotel
